I experience the creative process as a magical undertaking.  Archetypal energies move through me and are given form.                                                   

Seers, Healers, Lovers, Warriors, Goddesses and the Sidhe (Faery) populate my work.  These primal energies have also led me into abstract realms of color, light and movement. The result is that I have two distinct bodies of work:  figurative and abstract.  The intermingling of mortal existence and divine immanence interests me and shapes my work.

Poetry & Other Writing:  I occasionally have “Poetry to Go” which are on tablets nailed to my studio wall that people can rip off and take with them.  I am working on a collection of poems as well as several Children’s Books.

Showing my Work:  I enjoy sharing my work with the public.  When not involved in an exhibition, I open my studio on the third floor of the Arts Incubator on First Fridays.  I will also be participating in the Kansas City Artist Coalition’s Open Studio event in the fall of 2009.

Supporting the Arts:  I work with The Pitch every month to help create the Crossroads Art Map & Monthly Exhibition Guide which is distributed as a free insert in The Pitch the Wednesday before First Friday.  This monthly publication lists all the Crossroads Galleries and Art Spaces participating in First Friday, their First Friday and regular hours, and information on their exhibitions. 

The goal of the Crossroads Art Map & Monthly Exhibition Guide is to make everyone who enjoys art feel welcome in the Crossroads district and provide them with a tool to help them navigate the rich and vibrant art scene that unfolds on First Fridays and every day of the week.

Promoting Crossroads: I participate in the monthly Second Saturday tour which is a Crossroads Community Association (CCA) sponsored program.  On the second Saturday of the month, we conduct tours of various enterprises within the Crossroads Arts District.  At least two art venues are included in each tour.

Studio Location:  The Arts Incubator, 115 W. 18th Street on the south side of the street on 18th between Baltimore and Wyandotte.  My studio is on the third floor in the back left or southeast corner.
