Established in 1994, The Byron C. Cohen Gallery for Contemporary Art is a premier fine arts gallery in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Since its inception, the gallery has been a leader in creating and defining Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District, an area frequently cited as one of the nation’s most vibrant and active arts communities.

The Byron C. Cohen Gallery has built partnerships with the region’s finest cultural institutions, including the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Fine Art, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Huntington Museum and the San Jose Museum of Art. Corporate clients include Microsoft, Sprint, the Stowers Institute, Shook, Hardy and Bacon and Hallmark Cards.

The gallery continually remains ahead of the market trend in contemporary art. We have always been instrumental in bringing the works of national mid-career artists to Kansas City and the Midwest. For the past five years we have broadened our scope to include Master and emerging Artists from Mainland China. We currently hold a major interest in the contemporary Asian market, recently showcasing these Master Chinese artists at Scope and Art Asia Miami art fairs.
